I found these during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and did not expect to think about a pair of shoes this much. They’re a woven leather ballet flat crossed with a sneaker — soft and delicate-looking, but built like something you can actually walk around in all day.
I bought them first in beige. A few days later I found out they also come in brown and ordered that pair too, no hesitation. That’s really the whole review right there: I liked them enough to buy them twice in one week.
What makes them so easy to wear is how versatile they are. The woven upper and the neutral tones (the beige especially) feel right at home in late summer with a sundress or linen pants, but the ankle-tie styling and the gum sole give them enough edge to carry into fall with denim, trousers, or a skirt and tights. It’s rare to find a shoe that transitions across seasons without feeling like a compromise in either one.
Fit-wise, they run true to size in a normal width, but they’re wide-width friendly too — the woven leather has some give to it, so if you’re in between or need a little extra room, you’re not out of luck.
My favorite detail is the laces. They come with two styling options: a thin lace for a more classic, low-profile tie, or a thicker ribbon/ballerina-style lace if you want something softer and a little more romantic wrapped around the ankle. I like being able to change the whole mood of the shoe depending on what I’m wearing.
